Our Story
THE ORIGINS
ADT Tools was born in 2012 from an observation: the tightening of cable ties, carried out with manual pliers, is a source of occupational diseases. Indeed, the repetition of this operation and the force it requires leads to Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSD). These therefore generate the absence of the employees concerned, or even their reclassification, as well as a decrease in efficiency, all of these consequences leading to significant costs.
The Renault Trucks-Volvo Group therefore approached Alpes DEIS with this issue and the desire to find an alternative to these manual tools.
The ergonomics of the ADT Tools have been designed in such a way that its motorization and electronics can replace the efforts required from the employees, relying on the expertise of Alpes DEIS in mechatronic development.
Initially used in the heavy vehicle sector, where a production line can reach the tightening of 3,000 zip ties per day, ADT Tools clamps can now be found in many sectors with the same needs.

THE DEVELOPMENT
ADT was initially marketed to the various production sites of the product's initiating group.
In 2016, development accelerated thanks to a distribution partnership with Euroutils for the entire French territory. This development continued in the United States, since 2018, through a partnership with Stellar Industrial.
Today, a more important development in Europe has been initiated for ADT Tools.
